Fatma Murray serves as the Country Manager of DNV GL Turkey Energy Consultancy. In January 2006, she started working at the Legacy Garrad Hassan office in Glasgow, England. Earlier, she began studying at the University of Edinburgh in the UK, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with Management. She completed her master`s degree at the same university. As part of her graduate studies, she worked as an assistant engineer at Legacy Garrad Hassan. During this time she also published an article on the economic benefit of short-term forecasts for wind energy in the UK electricity market.

After completing her studies, she started her career in DNV GL`s Special Projects Department to review existing and innovative wind turbine designs and carry out design studies to perform load calculations on wind turbines. Later, she worked at DNV GL Project Development Services, working with wind farm project developers and owners to provide technical consultancy services, including wind resources and energy assessment studies in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavian countries, as well as wind farm production and maintenance analysis. At the end of 2010, she started to work in the Turkey office of DNV GL. She established the technical team and the Turkey office that will mainly serve the markets in and around Turkey. Fatma Murray has extensive experience as a project manager and technical manager in many projects carried out mainly in England, Ireland, Scandinavian countries and Turkey in the last 14 years.

Currently, she oversees the energy consultancy and renewable energy consultancy works carried out both in Turkey and in other regions upon request. She works with a wide range of stakeholders in the energy market and provides independent technical advisory services, including wind/solar resources and energy assessment studies, wind/solar power generation and maintenance analysis, technical due diligence services for both owners and lenders, and serves as a project manager. Fatma Murray has worked as both project manager and project sponsor in energy consultancy projects such as market and policy development, energy storage, smart cities/grids, transmission and distribution systems, master planning and R&D projects.

In addition to her technical responsibilities, she also took part in projects such as profit and loss, strategy and planning of company operations in Turkey, Greece and Near East Asian countries. She has also engaged in activities such as team building, resource management, subcontractor and partnership management, internal and external networks, conflict resolution, market analysis and research, business development, sales, customer relations and stakeholder engagement. She is also a member of the DNV GL Middle East Europe and Mediterranean (CEMed) team of executive leaders to drive the company`s strategy, purpose, vision and values globally and in the responsible region.
